Characters Typically Found In Disaster Movies


  • The hero-This is the straightforward hero, usually male. They are capable from the outset of doing what it takes to survive and/or save the day.

  • The reluctant hero-This is someone who has heroism 'thrust upon them', a character who steps outside their normal job role to save the day.

  • The bad guy-

  • The bad guy turned good-

  • The self-doubter-

  • The kid(s)

  • The strong woman-

  • The damsel in distress-

  • The bureaucrat-

  • The voice in the wilderness-
